We have lived in the area for 8 years but had no idea what hidden treasures there were to be discovered in Toulouse City Centre and your wonderful tour which was varied & so informative and extremely enjoyable , opened our eyes to what was to be found there. Your enthusiasm for the City shone through and we particularly enjoyed the very thoughtful cup of tea half way round. You also gave us some excellent recommendations for places to visit in more depth at a later date. Thank you so much for a lovely morning tour.

Penny is a UK native who has fallen in love with her adopted Toulouse and her profession as a tour guide. I couldn't have hoped for a better introduction to Toulouse than a 2 hour ramble with Penny through the streets of her new home. She is a wealth of information on the city's past and present history and most importantly offers it up in a lively, informative and engaging way. She has certainly found her niche in life and you can share this love and enthusiasm with her on one of her jaunts through La Ville Rose!
PS I forgot to mention the lovely tea and cakes she carries in her green shopping trolley and that you get to sample half-way round in the ruins of an old monastery!

My husband, son and I were delighted to have taken Penny's walking tour of Toulouse. There are many tours to chose from that would give you similar information but none quite so unique as Penny's!

Right from the start she was so accommodating by structuring the tour that would suite our limited time in the city. She has such an upbeat and warm personality that brought the city's history to life for us, and a way of imparting facts and knowledge without being overwhelming or dull.
The pace is good, moving through the busier streets nicely but allowing for ample photo stops and quieter spots to hear explanations.

Penny's affordable, unique and memorable walking tour is not to be missed! I recommend you take it at the beginning of your stay to take advantage of the many tips and pointers she gives you to make the most of your time in Toulouse.

So fortunate we met Penny and experienced her city walking tour - which is of very high quality - that other clients writing in this guestbook have described perfectly. There were 6 on our tour, including a nice Canadian family of 4, so the size was small enough to be personal and agile (i.e. the group stayed together easily). Between stops :enny used the time profitably to spend time individually with everyone, showing genuine interest, getting to know a little about us, answering all our questions and sharing lots of useful recommendations; 3 of which we already put into practice and possibly another 4 tomorrow!

Penny balances a warm, enthusiastic and genuine personality with a pragmatic, considerate, informative and fun style. Heartily recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 1 to 1 walking tour of Toulouse with Penny of Toulouse walking tours. We saw all the main sights - Penny was very informative indeed and not just with information limited to the sights - recommending places to return to and recommended restaurants. as a first time visitor to Toulouse the tour was invaluable and added greatly to my knowledge and enjoyment of a very beautiful city. enjoyed the 1/2 way break with tea and homemade cakes. Thoroughly recommend this company and tour.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour with a very personable, engaging guide. We spent the two hours in a small group and were given a great history lesson - enough detail to be informative, and yet not too much of an info overload.
Exceptionally good value, cannot recommend the tour highly enough - woud encourage anyone visiting Toulouse to take advantage of this highly knowledgable local guide

We took the tour on saturday 17/12/11 & we both thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours in Penny's company. Without giving anything away She fully explains why Toulouse is such a important city by her timeline through its history.
A nice easy paced walk with lots of photographic opportunities and an intro that should be carried out early in your visit. WE will take it again I'm sure as we plan to visit again in spring or summer.

I truly enjoyed this tour, it was informative, great excercise and fun. If you are in Toulouse, be sure to book this tour. The final touch was the tea break with homemade cakes.
Penny enjoys giving you facts about the sites, it was so interesting that the 2 hours flew by.
Thanks for a fun time

I wished to thank you for the wonderful tour on Monday. I cannot believe I was so fortunate to meet you almost by accident. The tour was the highlight of my stay in Toulouse.

I recently enjoyed Penny's walking tour of Toulouse and I would
recommend that the tour is done at the beginning of your stay in the
city so that you have plenty of time to revisit some of the interesting
areas that are pointed out. I was on my way out on the day that I
did the tour and so could not return to some places.
